When am I most fertile?
Your fertile window is the 6 days when sex can lead to pregnancy. It starts about 5 days before ovulation and ends on ovulation day. Peak fertility is the 2 days right before ovulation plus ovulation day, when chances of conception are highest.
How does this calculator work?
Ovulation typically happens 14 days before your next period. The calculator subtracts 14 from your cycle length to find ovulation day. For a 28-day cycle, that is day 14 after your period started. For a 30-day cycle, day 16. Then we add 5 days before for the full fertile window.
Tips for trying to conceive
Aim for daily or every-other-day relations during your fertile window. Sperm can survive up to 5 days, so consistency matters more than precise timing. Tracking ovulation symptoms (cervical mucus, basal body temperature, ovulation predictor strips) can confirm the calculator’s prediction.
